The 2008 Laser District 18 Grand Prix Championship will be hosted by John Shockey and VBC Memorial Weekend, May 24th and 25th. We are very excited for this event, as you should be too. The regatta promises to have two great days of racing, complemented by great food, unique hand crafted trophies, t-shirts, and great competiton, all of which being held right in middle of our region, in between Toledo and Cleveland in Vermilion, Ohio. We strongly encourage as many juniors and people just getting back in the boat as we can get. It would be great to get some insight into what clubs wish to attend so that we can be ready if there's a better than expected turnout. Currently John is estimating 25-50 competitors!

So far we have people making the trip from Virginia, Indiana, Ohio, and Michigan (go buckeyes)...There is a new Holiday Inn Express (the cheap one) located about 2 minutes from the club.

Water is chilly so plan for it. Air temp should be around 65 to 70.

Spray top, hikers, and thermal gear are a great combo.
