The Laser class at the Merrimac Regatta had 5 boats, all full rigs, competing. Breezy, shifty conditions in a confined area made for a nice change of pace from our usual Willoughby Bay venue. 3 races, all triangles, twice around with the first race being a downwind start. Eric Scwab, a former Maine Maritime sailor, won the day against a fleet without any weak players!!
