Hello, I'm new to this forum. Wow there is a lot of info here, just what I need.
I am contemplating the repair of a 78 alcort sunfish. Water has been in this hull for quite a while ( This boat stays in the water all summer long. Not
used for racing just fun.) I have noticed two cracks on the bottom next to the cockpit tub. Seems like it was stepped on while on shore. My question:
The spots seem pretty flimsy where the cracks are, If i grind and glass the cracks i'm afraid the patch will chip off due to the unsupported section.
I will be installing inspection ports soon to dry-out & evaluate the extent of water damage. Please help!!
