Miami, Florida January 12, 2007 I start Radial training out of the US Sailing Center in Coconut Grove this weekend in final preparation for the US Sailing Rolex Miami Olympic Classes Regatta. This follows a short Christmas break with my family, some youth coaching at the Orange Bowl Regatta, and the Team Racing Midwinters Championship regatta. Oh yes, I was training in the Laser Radial out of the Fort Lauderdale Yacht Club both before and after Christmas. The holidays were fun. My family came down to Florida from Pennsylvania; and I also had a chance to do some wind surfing on Biscayne Bay. Right after that, it was on to the Orange Bowl Regatta where Brad Funk and I coached the youth competitors in the Laser full rig, Radial, and 4.7 Classes. This is a great group of competitors and its very rewarding to work with them and see them maturing and building their sailing skills.
