I have a corroded cast aluminium rudder cheek. I Wonder if it's better to repair or replace?

Aluminum can be built up using the heliarc process, and sanded to finish. Professionally, it'll cost at least $100, unless your local High School shop class can provide the service. (Probably free). :)

I would like to know. I have been told that perhaps it is off an old sunfish. It is currently mounted on a Dyer dingy but not an original Dyer
rudder.

Thank you for the advice.

Not a Sunfish rudder (cheek) either.

I would just try to remove most of the corrosion and see if the rudder functions properly.
