Clevis Pin Question

Thread starter #1
When you are rigging your shrouds, should the Flat (Big) side of the Clevis pin, holding the shrouds together, be inboard or outboard? It seems to me that you don't want the wire ring taking all the force of the shroud tension when its a working shroud upwind.

Definitely put the flat side outboard! I had mine the other way and, yes, the jib sheet did snag on the ring; in the middle of a tack, of course!
