Cleaning the race window on a sail?

Okay, so I've read a few threads on how to clean sails, but what aobut the race window? The window on the sail of my (future) sunfish is a little cloudy. any tips on cleaning it? Oh, and to avoid the inevitable question, the sail is original 1977 and I can't afford to replace it right now, so cleaning it is the only option.

You can try a vinyl window cleaner such as Plexus or Meguiar's No. 17 Plastic Cleaner (there are many others). However, given its age I'm doubtful you'll see much improvement.

You can replace the window fairly economically if you do it yourself. Sailrite has a kit...
