Enjoy the remaining summer sailing on a classic 1984 AMF Alcott Sunfish in excellent condition. Serious offers only. Only sailed in fresh water. Purchased from original owner in May 2016 who only sailed it three times. A new (2016) Right-On trailer/dolly makes launching easy (WV registered license plate through 2020). Hull weight 124 lbs. New halyard, mainsheet, APS hiking strap, Harken ratchet block/cam cleat, and Harken tiller extension. Refinished in June (sanded, filled, stained, and urethaned) Mahogany daggerboard and rudder/tiller. APS C-vane wind indicator, collapsible paddle for storage behind cockpit. Sail, mast/boom in very good condition. New inspection port. Serial number: AF 08116 M84A. Location: Huntington WV is located off I-64 at the KY/OH border on Ohio river. ("We are Marshall" filmed here.) May consider delivering within 4 hour drive. Reason for selling: purchased a Catalina 25 sailboat

Hello,

Yes, it is still available. It's not "like new" but it's in excellent condition and has never been painted. This spring I refinished the original mahagony rudder/tiller/daggerboard and added the new cam cleat to the Karken ratchet block and a hiking strap and inspection port. I spontaneously "raced" a 26-ft sloop at Cave Run Lake (KY) in 10 knot winds hiked all the way out, planing and beat him. He yelled out congratulations.

Last summer I towed it easily on my VW Jetta to Ocracoke, NC so it does travel well. The only reason it's for sale is I've bought a Catalina 25.

I weighed it last week - 124 lbs spec is 120 lbs but there were variations back in the day.

Last summer I towed it easily behind my VW Jetta to Ocracoke, NC so it does travel well. The only reason it's for sale is I've bought a Catalina 25.
