Chips in gel coat

Ok, so I have this old sunfish that I am repairing. There are chips in the gel coat. Some of the chips are not severe but some you can see the fiberglass. The fiberglass is not damaged though. I have looked up different gel coats and techniques but they contradict each other. What are some suggestions?

I’d just use white Marine Tex.

Marine Tex is very easy to use.

Marine Tex™ is priced all over the map . Either a small touch-up kit or a "speedy-set" (in white) is available at Wal-Mart for just $11 . The small two-tube kits are an easy 1:1 mix.

A Google search under "shopping" will show what is available online—which, in your relatively minor case, will save a drive to Wal-Mart. I don't know who buys the color "gray".

A credit card can help spread it, and a short length of Scotch™ tape can hold it from sagging "downhill".
