Changing from old cunningham clam cleat to now double cam cleat

Does anyone know whether I can just unscrew the clam cleat on my deck and replace it with the double clam cleat that is currently in use? Are the holes the same size and same distance apart?

Or, will I need to fill in the old holes and drill new ones?

Yes, it was all designed to be retrofitted with no modifications to the hull.

When you do replace it, it would probably be a good idea to apply some sealant to the screw holes. A good one to use is 3M Marine Adhesive Sealant 4200. Somebody correct me, but I believe 4200 is preferred over 5200. With 4200, it's easier to clean out and use the same screw holes if you need to replace the bracket again. 5200 is more for permanent sealing below the waterline and would have to be drilled out.
