Build year of my boat

Hi

I have Laser number 157518 and the guy who sold it was a bit unsure of what year it was built. Does anybody know or know of a place where I can find out ?

or, you can just look at the last 2 #'s of the serial #. it should say: 46284995. the last 2 numbers say 98, so therefore, your boat was made in 95.

Where do I find the serial number ? I figure it is different from the sail number, correct ?

The serial number under my bow eye (581) is the same as that on the sail. When I search the laser uk database for year of manufacture, nothing comes back. Is there any way to narrow down the year this boat was made other than that it was sometime between 1971 and 1973?

If anyone has any info I'd greatly appreciate it.

When I went to this website it told me the following:

The Laser with sail number 171032 was manufactured in 2000

On the transom of my boat it clearly shows 2001 as the date. Maybe the site is off a little...

that sounds about right. I have a 03 and its 177025. My friend has a 96 and his is 15something
