Bernardo Low-Beer, tuning up for the Sunfish Worlds, won the NY Upstate Regionals on a weekend where light (very light) Westerlies and SWesterlies tested the fleet's concentration and patience. Low-Beer finished with 16 points on the strength of a consistent final 6 finishes of 3-3-3-3-3-1. His throw-out was the first of the seven races. Finishers 2-6 were clumped between 31 and 38 points, with ties for second and fifth. Nice job by the Rochester Canoe Club race committee to get seven races with such illusive wind.
