Bow eye

My Mod 1 came to me without a bow eye. I noticed newer boats have them. Mod 2 or 3's? I would like to install one as it (My boat) would stay seated on the trailer better, not being tensioned so high up. Can anyone give me the measurements from the top deck. That would give me piece of mind as I hate to drill holes on my boat!!!

Carl, my 1987 model 1 has a stainless plate with three holes in it, one of which is for the forstay, the larger of the three is where my dock line and also the line that goes to the winch on the trailor. My boat is stock. I would be very leary of drilling any holes below the rub rail. I can send you a picture if you like. Hope this helps. Greg
