First post here! New to sailing and I figured a Banshee would be a good place to start. I bought a mid 70's Banshee 13' sail boat and trailer recently. All complete with rudder, 2 dagger boards, 2 sails (no rips) and all of the riggings. Plan is to sail this on a fresh water lake in NY.
I was wondering:
-what do you recommend checking/replacing before I begin to sail this? At first glance, everything is in good condition, just original.
-the fiberglass hull is in good shape, but I would like to paint it. What paint do you recommend?
-Any info or tips on these Banshees is appreciated!
