Sep 15, 2019 #3 L&VW Well-Known Member They are a little tight for fingers. Give the nut a little WD40, tap it gently with a hammer, then use Channel-lock pliers (AKA, water-pump pliers). Fragile, the nut can be broken of its outside edges , so procede carefully. The nut may be available as a separate part. More leverage can be gained by jamming a long stick in the outside scoop, and "biasing" with pressure counterclockwise. (Lefty-loosey). Last edited: Sep 15, 2019
