Another Pearson Laser question

I am looking at buying a Pearson Laser and am trying to figure out the year from the serial number. This laser is serial number PSBE5174F192. As best I can figure, this must be near the end of the Pearson production, appearing to be a 1992 model, if in fact, the last 2 numbers tells the tale.
Were the later Pearsons better boats than the early ones? I've heard there were some major quality control problems at Pearson, and don't want to get into a problem. I've seen info that when Pearson production was sold, they brought in outside consultants to help with the problems... were these later boats still badged as Pearsons?
Happy 4th of July.

good luck with the search

thanks

That confirms to me, that there were Pearsons built in 1992, as the serial number appears to indicate.
Thank you for posting the reply.
