Active Racing in Rochester NY

I am having trouble finding an active fleet of lasers in Rochester NY. Both Rochester Yacht Club and Newport Yacht Club claim to have active fleets. Does anyone race out of Rochester or know if either actually races?

Send Charlie Williamson an email. He is district Secretary. Look on the Laser website.

District 9 has a bunch of 1 day regattas starting in May. They are also Empire State (NY) Games qualifiers if you are interested.

Methinks we start in Ithaca, then Cazanovia Lake near Syracuse, Newport, then Chautauqua (can never spell that name). One at Keuka also.

Usually a regatta in Sodus at some point and a "Central NY" regatta at various places.

Big fleet racing at the Buffalo Canoe Club. 15-20 boats every Tuesday.

And..if you don't mind driving there are a zillion things in the Toronto area as well.

Bottom line...there is LOTS of Laser racing around here.
