4.7 Worlds

Hi everyone,

The 2005 Laser 4.7 Worlds will be held this summer in Rhode Island. I'm not really much of a 4.7 sailor, but I'm on the light side for radials. And because the worlds will be so close to where I live in Massachusetts, I reckon it'd be a wonderful opportunity to gain some big regatta experience. I was wondering what you have to do to qualify for this event. I've been searching the ILCA and the ILCA-NA sites, but have found nothing as of yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

as far as i know there is no qualification required

i did the radial worlds here and we didnt need to qualify, i dont see why the 4.7s would be any different.

The Laser 4.7 Worlds will indeed be in BArrington. You can look at the website at www.barringtonyc.com/laser4.7worlds.htm. Soon ILCA will have application and other on the website. Stay tuned this should be a great event in good sailing venue. Event chair Scott Walker is committed to a super event.
