1976 Coaming

I have a 1976 Sunfish and I need to replace the anchors for the coaming. The coaming screws into these anchors and all I can find for parts are rivets. If anyone knows where I can get these it will be appriciated.

Have you considered gluing it on with 5200?

I have a 1975 and riveted mine...snug as a bunny. Rivet guns are cheap.

IMHO the insert was a poor method from the get-go. Gluing works, but if you break it in the future it's hell to get off to fix. SS screws, washers and Nylock nuts or 3/16" aluminum pop-rivets and backing washers I believe are the two methods proven to work best. A seal of light caulk like Dow 4200 works well and still lets you remove the caoming later if a repair is needed. There's a guide to this fix on one of the other Sunfish webs so look around and you'll find it.
