Is it possible to scan the manual as a pdf?
I would like to add it the to resources on this site.
We get many questions from sailors who have obtained older boats on how the rig them, this manual would be useful to answer many of those questions.

Yes please scan the manual I have been looking everywhere for one and I can't find any
 
Need to give it another try, do you still have the vintage international 470 rigging and maintenance manual? That is incredible, we need to post a PDF. Does anyone have one?

From a purely historical point of view, that kind of material is of course interesting. But one should keep in mind that most of the standard early-1970s technical solutions have been outdated for a long time, and we know today how to rig a 470 so it's easier and more comfortable to sail, simpler and even faster at the same time.

Fundamentally, it's a philosophical question every old-boat owner has to answer: do I want a museum piece, something as competitive as possible, or just something well-functioning and sailable?
