#1149 for sale. ESCAPADE J24
This boat is offered as-is. Owner wants 2K for the trailer (firm) and 1K for the hull (OBO)- but the titles are being sold as a package deal. She has not been in the water the past 4 years. She is not the prettiest but she served as a family cruiser and day-sailor for years, occasionally competing in a Wednesday night race here and there. She did race at Cleveland Raceweek one time, and from what I heard she got to the top mark in the front of the fleet every race and I raced it on Wednesday nights and had success in PHRF; so she sails well but she is not the prettiest on the eyes.
Here are the details:
Has a nice trailer purchased ~2010 I think with very little use, primarily for her 5 mile journey home to be winter stored was it's only purpose in life. North Sails mainsail, jib, and spinnaker purchased new ~2008. Mainsail has been used extensively but in good shape for day sailing, and the spinnaker and jib have very little use; handful of recreational sails. Boat has a DIY painted bottom on it as it was on a dock during the summers on Lake Erie used for day sailing. Keel had some patch work once and the deck has a DIY epoxy job to reinforce a squishy spot where the BRAND NEW self-tailing harken winches were installed, which are probably overkill but easily the nicest items on the boat (along with the trailer). New tiller was purchased and used (may need varnished now), and new tiller extension was never used. Mast is black, but someone sanded it a long time ago so it's a little "blotchy". The Teak floor was sent away to be repaired but unfortunately lost, and the floor right now is sort of a DIY plywood situation.
