So how can I get Seitech wheels?

I'm needing new wheels, plus the bearing kit. So I'll need all the parts necessary for attaching the wheels to the dolly itself.

So how can I get Seitech wheels?

Ok, reading a recent thread, apparently it is currently very difficult to get wheels for a Seitech dolly through the usual suppliers, Laser Performance and APS. Anybody know where I can get wheels, then?

    CA DMV registration stickers

My Laser is registered. I have all the paperwork. It's having the stickers and CF numbers placed on the hull that I'm wondering about. I guess I'll just look at everyone else's Laser and see what they do, and figure out the ratio of stickered and non-stickered boats. Mary

    CA DMV registration stickers

So here's something I've been wondering about. Are Lasers required to have these DMV registration stickers stuck onto the boat? I was told by the previous owner when I bought it that I was not required to have them stuck to the boat, since it is a race boat. I'm the third owner of my boat...

    Laser Clew Sleeve at APS

Thanks, Matt. I've decided to stick with my velcro sleeve and the bungee inhaul. I'm not local to Annapolis, but if I'm ever there I'll have to check out your sailing club. Mary

    Laser Clew Sleeve at APS

Hi all, I'm considering buying what is called the "Laser Clew Sleeve" sold on the APS website. It's a metal clew sleeve that is supposed to be the "all in one" solution to the outhaul and clew tie-down. Has anyone tried this out...

Launching a Laser with a hoist

Once I get the hull into the water with the hoist, I would be able to step the mast on the dock and put up the sail. So no worries about hoisting the boat with the mast up, because I don't have to do it that way (and wouldn't). I just need ideas on how to make this sling. Mary

Launching a Laser with a hoist

Hello, I'm considering moving my boat to a yard, which happens to be equipped with a hoist for dinghies. There is not a way for me to launch from a dock as the yard is not set up that way, so I would have to launch with with the hoist. Does anyone know of a harness I could make so I can use...

    Name for my new Laser?!!

Alex, Don't struggle to name your boat, let her name herself. Or just let the name come to you. The name for my boat came about a month after I bought her. I call her Darkling. Mary

    Long Johns

Are you talking about the "Farmer John" (sleeveless) wetsuits? I've heard good things about Zhik. Plus they make a line just for women. I just ordered their microfleece skiff suit, can't wait to try it out. Mary

    How light is too light?

Here's one method I was taught that works well for me in terms of keeping control. Which I find is what I need to do whenever the wind gets to about 14+. Being 4'9 and 93 lbs., I know the boat reacts differently to me than it does to people that heavier and taller than me. When you start to...

    How light is too light?

I think if you want him to enjoy sailing a Laser, you shouldn't put him in a full size rig until he weighs about 150-155 lbs. (when he's an adult). I'm an adult who weights 93 lbs. and the only time I dare sail a full rig is on lakes when I know the wind won't get over 10 knots. Anywhere else...

    What is the sail number?

On the Laser Forum, go to TLF Knowledge Center, then look under "FAQ". There is an article on serial numbers. Mary

    Dolly Tire Replacement?

I'll bring up another aspect of Seitech dolly tires: if you've got a dolly with the smooth wheels, can they be easily be replaced with the big knobby wheels? Or does it involve me buying new axles (or whatever it is I would need to do). Mary

    Getting Tangled with the Sheet!!!

I learned to always kick the sheet off my feet if it started getting tangled around my feet. I shove the sheet into a pile somewhere away from my feet, and after every tack or jibe I kick whatever may have tangled around my feet away and into the pile. Works well once you're in the habit. Mary

    Cars that can trailer Lasers

Thanks for everyone's advice. I called up my Honda service station and asked about towing. The guy said that the Honda Civic can tow up to 1000lbs. So, does that mean I'm pretty safe, then? In regards to transmission and brakes? I went to James Freedman's website, and I can see that his car...

    Genuine Lower Radail Mast Section?

Zoey, Have you handled a Radial mast section a lot? You may be able to tell right off if you've got a fake because a full-rig mast section is thicker around. Now I've never seen a full-rig mast section that was cut down to Radial, so I don't know how heavy it would be compared with a regular...
