Dry gloves with good seal with dry suit?

Anybody found dry gloves which seal well with a dry suit? I sail all winter in water + air down to low 30's *F. I've been using neoprene gloves, but water infiltrates from the wrist and the seams. Once the hands are wet, they're cold, and it's only a matter of time til I gotta quit.

Do you step on the boom when capsized, to get over the gunnel?

In the video in this thread ( http://sailingforums.com/threads/experimental-transom-mounted-camera-steadycam-w-true-horizon.29689/ ) at 7 seconds, it sure looks like Don steps on the boom, to climb over the gunnel onto the daggerboard to right the boat. Does anybody else do that? I'd be...

attach new outhaul fairlead- rivet or thru-bolt?

I recently upgraded a 1973 boat to a 6:1 outhaul. The fairlead on the end of the boom is worn + loose and I'm going to replace it with a new part. I'm considering thru-bolting the aft end of the fairlead, which is the end that's under uplifting tension as the outhaul pulls, and the fairlead...

old wood rudder- replacing thru bolt

I have a '73 boat with the original wood rudder, and the original thru bolt. Time to replace that with a bigger one. The rudder has a SS sleeve thru which the old bolt passes. The new 1/4" bolt obviously isn't gonna go thru that. Do I just drill out a bigger hole, seal the inside of the...
