"She'll sail okay for a few seasons ..." Well, that is the best news I've heard in a while! If I get a year or two out of this repair I will be pleased. I have put another layer of fiberglass and more. I thought I might try to put some fiberglass inside the fore crack. There is an...
Here are some pics of my cracked keel repair so far. I have filled the holes and put one layer of fiberglass over the cracks. My question is, would another layer of fiberglass be prudent or overkill? Thanks in advance for all your help.
So, today was the first really nice day to work on the boat. I don't have room inside for it, so it is in the carport. I made a video but I wasn't able to upload it. Here are some pictures of the cracks after sanding.
You might note a few small light patches that I think are air...

Thank you all for the input. I am sure the cracks in the picture are new and that I caused them as I was pushing pretty hard to try and get the grime off. They weren't there before and I heard the crackling as I scrubbed. Glad they are not so serious. I'll get some sail tape soon to repair...
So, a friend gave me his old sunfish that had been sitting outside for quite awhile. The sail, rudder and dagger board were in a shed. As I was cleaning off the grime and lichen at the bow, I heard some cracking noises. Then I saw some lines in the paint that weren't there before. So, how...
