Im new to sunfish and have a question about the bridal or traveler. I have seen some with just a cable running from port to starboard, no loops or anything. The sunfish I just got has one but there is a loop or cable thimble in the center of the cable. what is the difference.

Just picked up a free sunfish, 1976, and am getting an idea of what I need to get here sail worthy. I noticed the the two booms do not look like the ones I see in most pics and videos. Are these originals, maybe something that should have been upgraded. Or maybe someone went cheap and used these...
