I agree, however I have seen boats with similar missing areas of stripes and since they are evenly cut I thought it might be possible that it was an edition I was unaware of.
I came across this boat and was wondering about the blank spots between paint. It appears to be a vanguard manufactured boat, but I cannot figure out why the stripe has splits in it. Is this a special edition or missing decals?
One other question, I noticed some of the rainbow hulls have decals on each side, along with the deck decals. I have only ever seen the deck decals in person, however I was wondering if they can standard together, or if they switched based on the production year?
I have been searching for a rainbow, Wildfire, and or quick silver laser for quite some time. I am interested in buying a sail, or the entire boat, off of any of these pictures below. If someone has one, please let me know!
I recently acquired another Laser 2 however the previous owner lost the centerboard. Does anyone happen to have an extra or know where I could find a replacement? I have heard they are similar to a laser 3000 board but am having trouble finding those as well. Any help is appreciated!
Based on your picture I would highly recommend drying the area completely with a strong fan before attempting a patch. If it’s wet or dirty, the repair will not hold. Additionally I would recommend a similar method using epoxy and gel coat, but if you are familiar with fiber glass work you could...
Hi there,
Just bought my fourth laser 2 today, and realized that the battens are missing. Any idea where I could find some? I know the laser 3000 and the laser 2 share similar parts, would laser 3000 battens fit my laser 2 sail? I'll attach some pictures of the boat, it is a 1988 model year.
I have not replaced one of those specifically, but I would recommend that you try pulling on it to see if it will slide out since it seems as if you may have stripped the holes that the screws were in. Potentially, there could be bolts on the inside I have seen when there is a porthole nearby...
If you get a cockpit holder for the spars, all three will fit in above the deck. From there you can strap the boat down to the trailer along with the poles without them rubbing on the deck.
This makes much more sense, I also have a standard mardi gras sail and both a polar radial and polar laser 2, I just have seen those more often and the Horizon was unknown to me. Thanks for the help!
I have this laser full rig sail that is a pattern I have not seen before. I was curious to know if there was any significance behind it. I do not have the boat it came from, but I have the sail and the numbers on it. Any info?
