Last winter I tried to sand and varnish and sand and varnish and sand and varnish myself. Still look really bad. So before I cave and buy new ones, I wanted to ask you if you think it would make sense to find a carpenter to give it a go. Otherwise I'll buy new but not wood again--too much wear...
Yes, with balloon wheels. But it’s still hard to pull up after sailing because there’s an incline. And yeah, the mobi mats are very expensive. Not really considering it.
That is the kindest offer I’ve heard. Thank you so much. But I did order some transparent tape from Sailrite as the previous poster suggested. My sail is blue and pink. Again, so grateful for your offer!!!
Just found a tiny less than half inch tear in my sail. We put waterproof electrical tape on both sides as a temporary fix. Advice please: should I leave it alone or is there a better method to save sail?

I've been dreaming of replacing ratchet block with a cleat. Is this something an old lady could do herself? If so would you please tell me where to buy a cleat, exactly what to buy and how to install it? [Back in the day there was always a cleat to lock the sheet. I asked for one when I bought...
Don’t get your response. But in case you don’t know Maine has several thousand beautiful lakes for sailing. Our resort provides the hobbies and sunfish for free.

I was there about eight years ago. Loved it! Looked at their web site this morning. No more huts in the hills. Now huts waterside sort of over the water like in Tahiti. Great recommendation.
Just realized I have a block of time free mid May. I would like to find a vacation destination where I can take some lessons to increase my sunfish sailing skills. I have no clue if such places exist but if they do I absolutely know you all will be the source of info!
