Well I ended up buying a Harbor freight folding trailer that is 4x8ft deck area, as I had an immediate need to haul some things about 200 miles. My load was bulky but weighed less than two sunfish. It trailered nice and didn't seem too bouncy, so I think with the extra weight of a wooden...

So an update from several months later..... We have been able to date the newer hull to 1977. The older one best we can figure is between 1960-65 as it has two brass deck mounted drain ports (later ones only got one). Have had them baking in the sun for a few months, but hadn't cut inspection...

Great idea to keep the hull off the ground. Similarly you could use a block of woos instead if a wheel as that would give the necessary clearness for the hull and also work like a parking brake so the while thing doesn't roll away if you get distracted.

I just ordered epoxy yesterday and have my stuff disassembled and plan to coat it prior to reassembly so the epoxy and varnish can pent rate all the holes and form a better barrier. Also polishing the brass on my pre-72 rudder/tiller and plan to clearcoat it (to try and keep it shiny)...

Just sanded down the rudder for the fish, and wondered what is the best coating to put on it. I thought about marine varnish, but that is not really made to be submerged all the time... Then I thought about epoxy, and someone said that's not great either. What is everyone on here using...

All good info. I was kinda leaning (no pun intending) toward the A-frame type and possibly putting a T on the top for kayaks....and maybe some bikes, lol. Maybe I need a 20' encolsed toy hauler ha ha ha.
