After a junior regatta this year, my boat got dinged up pretty badly. First, there is a 5 inch gash down to the fiber glass on the right side, a chip on the bow, and another gash (2 inches) on the bow. Also, for the first time I found water in the hole and drained it. The day after, I brought my...
Just checking in to see who from the forum is going to be doing the frostbiting this fall at Cedar Point YC in Westport, CT. I'll be sailing and I'm attempting to get a Radial division started up for this year.

I was setting up my boat and marking off the line for the outhaul by the Radial Tuning Article on the NA website. But, I ended up not marking anything because I didn't know if the article meant to measure the "1 fist, 2 fist" from the end of the boom or the eye for the outhaul. Any insight...
I was recently working on my autobailer because the rod caused it to jam down and it wouldnt go back up. So, I unscrewed the thing and I need help with a couple things, first where does the O-Ring go? It fell off and I have no clue where it goes. Also, does anybody know of a place with pictures...
So, I know it's a long way away, but I wanted to see if anybody here was planning on going. I know that I am 99% positive that I'm going. It's going to be my first "big" regatta (outside of JSALIS) so I am really pumped for this one. Also, are they allowing people to camp out at the yacht club...
Well, I need to get new boots for the summer and I have narrowed it down to the following and wanted some other peoples' opinions on the boots.
1. Maramu Aigle-I like the boots and have heard good things about them but I don't know if they are good for straight toe hiking.
2. Rooster Ankle...
Well, those that know LIS well, know that there is pretty much no wind during the summer. So I was thinking, I weigh in at around 134ish and I am 6 feet tall, should I go with the Standard rig or should I go with the Radial? Thanks in advance.

Well, today my dad was talking to a guy after the races about heavy air sailing upwind. The guy was saying that he was letting out the sheet in the puffs and then my Dad said it was better to keep it 2 blocked and feather ever so slightly...So the grand question comes up, who is right?

Well, does anyone know of any good step-by-step pictures for a really good roll tack or have any advice. I have problem rolling the boat soon enough. Anybody have any good instructions that relates to everything like sail trim, pre roll, when to jump up, when to roll the boat, etc. Thanks.

In my opinion, one of the better things that the class could do for the sailors is have a carbon upper section on the mast. I would think that this would reduce the constant snapping that is going on with radial sailors. Also, I don't see why people would want the metal outhaul sleeve. I mean...
Anybody else here doing the Spring Frostbiting Series at Cedar Point Yacht Club? I can't wait for next weekend to come and start the racing. If the current wind persists, it looks like we will have some good times. If you wanna learn about it or register, check out www.cedarpointyachtclub.com

Well, I finally built a hiking bench on Sunday (easier than I thought) and I was wondering if there were any "workouts" that people do while on the bench. I do my normal way of hiking for a while and I'm also considering holding onto some weights while doing it, but is there anything else that...
I need some help choosing which rig I should use this year. I currently weigh in at 135 and I am 6 feet tall. I am wondering whether I should go with the full or radial rig this year. I sailed Radial last year but am considering moving up this year. I also sail on LIS, so there won't be too many...
