You are all invited to the Flathead Lake Laser Championship in NW Montana. It is not the District 22 Championship this year, but we hope for a healthy turnout and some good racing in a fantastic setting.
Have you been to Flathead Lake?
Free camping on the lawn of North Flathead YC...
I just posted info about repairing the hull-deck joint, here... http://www.laserforum.org/showthread.php?t=34166
I kept going on the repair of this '79 hull so this thread is about fixing the cockpit drain hole and the hull separating from the deck at the rear of the cockpit.

Hello all -
You are all invited to, and enthusiastically encouraged to attend, the Laser Class District 22 Championship and Flathead Lake Laser Championship, the weekend of August 21-22.
This is the big Laser social event of the year here, and I hope each of you will consider coming to...
Question about re-gluing the hull-deck joint -
About how much length do you plan to epoxy in one batch? You can only mix and install so much before it starts to heat up and cure in the bucket.
Are you doing a foot at a time? 3 feet? Did you use a syringe to get it down into the joint...
I bought a second boat to lend out to interested sailors, and I'm replacing some parts. It's a '79 hull. $850, probably overpaid but it's a fairly good shape. Mast step is still full of water after overnight, and there are not deck cracks. Looks like it has cubitainers, so no soggy foam...
If you hurry, you can make the FIRST ANNUAL WHITEFISH LAKE ONE-LAP INVITATIONAL LASER REGATTA (FAWLOLILR) on beautiful Whitefish Lake (duh) at the foot of the Big Mountain ski resort. The bigger the title, the more serious the event.
No fee, just fun. We bought some inflatable APS buoys...

A question about trimming -
I'm still getting used to this. I was practicing alone last weekend, maybe 8-12 knots, small chop. I played with sail controls and boat speed and pointing. When I trim block to block as taught, I can feel the speed drop off - just feels like I'm not moving at all...
Hi kids -
Are we wearing our hikers under our drysuits in very cold conditions?
Then fleece layers on top of the hikers?
(I'm talking water temps freezing to 40 or 45F)
Thanks!
Anyone out there with expertise on, or parts for, the Chrysler Mutineer 15? It has nice looking lines. My brother just acquired one which is missing a few key bits, such as having the wrong rudder. The roller jib is rotted in place - the main's OK.
He is in southern Colo far from any...
The Laser Forum just sent me a happy birthday email - how nice is that?
I had been thinking it would fun to go for a sail on my 50th birthday, but today the high will be ZERO, and tonight the low will be -16F, and it is howling wind. The Clark Fork River is freezing solid. But the sun is...
Does anyone know if trailer wheel bearings and races are a pretty standard size when replacing? Specialty trailer store? Auto parts store?
I hear some grinding, so I think I'll replace when I repack them. Perhaps a few too many fast miles and a few dunks in salt water. I have newish...
Come on up to the District 22 regatta on spectacular Flathead Lake in nortwest Montana, very near Glacier National Park. This is fun racing in a stunning setting, hosted by the North Flathead Yacht Club in Somers, MT.
Good winds early so they start us off first thing both days. Last year it...
Everyone is excited and getting geared up for frostbiting. Fred is out sailing in his T-shirt with a beer.
I am jealous.
This weekend I finally dragged the boats into the garage in front of an impending snowstorm. Yesterday it was 25 here.
sigh.....
