Must have a mainsheet. Course, I guess I can always make one. A bridle and a bailer are optional. Your thoughts?? This boat will likely not be raced. Paypal preferred. THANKS
so I try to pick up this Sunfish so water could drain out the transom. Couldnt budge it!! Finally got it push to the side a bit, and about 20 gallons of water pour out! Of the bow!!!! What a shame...
I prime absolutely everything I paint that's not using a paint/primer in one. That said, i never see a reference to priming on this boats. How essential or unnecessary is priming on a Sunfish???
I'm considering painting a deck and topside instructions make no reference to apropos primer. I prime everything I paint, esp if exposed to water. What's apropos here?? While topside is readily available at Lowes, marine primer isn't. THANKS
what's a good substitute for the cotton sunfish halyard?? In days of old, we'd use 1/4" dacron. BUT, that was 35 years ago and dacron is no longer easy to find. Need something nonstretch..
I need 2 endcaps for upper and lower booms. I guess the primary purpose therefore is to attach the sail clew and head and keep out water. Worse case scenrio I guess i can attach 2 small stainless eyebolts and add some low expanse foam. Anyone have these for sale?? Can't imagine it'd cost much...
I've acquired a very inexpensive Sunfish sans mast. Almost cost prohibitive to simply buy a new one or buy a used one and then ship it. What are the alternatives?? Make one from some kind of tubular aluminum, PVCsteel?? What's economically feasible?? THANKS
I've come into a hull o what I believe to be a clone/knock off. All I've is the hull. It seems notably heavier than a true sunfish hull and the splashboar is molded in. Any idea as to what this may be?? THANKS
