I have a couple of small deck cracks and holes. I'm afraid these will take in water and only get worse. Any tips on repairing this would be welcome. thanks guys

Recently got a sunfish and I have a few questions. It is in 'fair' shape. no leaks or major visible damage. I spent about ten hours on it over the 4th . 1. Can I replace the sail clips with line. Is their a benefit to either one? 2. Do all of you recommend inspection ports. I guess...
