That's one rockin' little midget -
I'm not looking to tow my Capri with the MG - but it's not a bad idea...
Here's mine, a '70 BGT:
Crazy fun little cars. Love driving it, don't mind working on it. Rare combination for me. Same can be said for my old motorbike. Labor of love, I guess.

regularman - you sail a Capri, fool around with motorbikes, AND drive an MG?
We must be brothers! Sounds like you've just wandered through my garage!
Good to hear from you -

You're in Oxnard?
I was out there just a little while back; I would love to catch up with you when I'm out again. Maybe take a boat ride with you and see how you handle your Capri.
Let's keep in touch about that!
I'm with SHNOOL on this one; I've done quite a bit of reading on the Capri, and have yet to find any mention of the Caprice.
I believe the Caprice was a big four-door sedan that Chevrolet pumped out in the mid-80's. My grandparents had one, and they constantly made me drive it around town...
So my wife and I took out the Capri this morning, along with out two teenage nieces...
We had a great time right up until the wind got crazy. Things got crazy in a hurry; the wind was gusting from zero to full blast, switching from one direction to another, then still, then back up and gusty...
Hey Greg -
I have the same setup; I think I'll ditch the extra halyard to clean things up a bit.
Does your roller furling line have a cleat for it? I seem to be missing one; my thin cord just strings out all over the place, and it makes me crazy. A small jam cleat (or something!)...
Hey guys -
I have a roller furling jib - AND the original jib halyard.
Can I 1) get rid of the original jib halyard to keep things a bit cleaner at the base of the mast? Thought it just may be that much more streamlined to get rid of it, especially since I'm not using it at all.
OR...
Hey paulsheller -
You still in Arvada? I'm on the western slope; wouldn't mind sailing with you sometime! Perhaps I could drag my 14 over the hill and catch up with you at Cherry Creek or somewhere similar?

GREAT day -
Well everyone - it was FANTASTIC!
The wind was almost too calm; there were times when we couldn't get her to move at all! Winds in the 5 - 10 mph range, with gusts in the teens. Super weather.
It was great - sun was out, boat was very manageable, and we had a wonderful time...
Thanks for the words, Greg -
I've been thinking of the Baby Bob for awhile, and now that the sun is out and we're headed to the lake, the time is probably now.
I'm looking forward to it! I'll let you know how it goes -
Thanks again
Think we should stick to just the main tomorrow? I'll have to hang the jib, as it's wrapped around the forestay - but she can stay furled for the day just to allow us some transition time.
What do you think?
I'll be sure to leave the main uncleated. Had already planned on it.
Montrose! That's just up the road!
I think we'll be going to Crawford State Park tomorrow. The water's a bit warmer, the lake is small and uncrowded, and it's the closest. And the potential for disaster seems lower, being that if things got crazy on me, and I had to leave my boat on the...
And I'm nervous, to say the least...
I don't have a Baby Bob, I don't have a tiller tamer, and the water temps are just now approaching 60 degrees.
BUT- I can't wait any longer. It's time. I'm dying to go sailing, and although I'm as green as they come, I'm going for it.
I've...
