Many other people have complained about that web site....I guess this is one of the major problems with the internet...you never really know how recent the posted information really is.

I have replaced my Phantom's dagger board with one from a SunFish, without any problems. (Assuming you do not need to be 100% original.) Used SF dagger boards go anywhere from $75 to $100. Good Luck.

Thanks. The previous owner had lost the original Phantom gooseneck so I am using a standard SF one. I had not thought about the possiblilty of the pockets limiting the flexability of the gooseneck placement, but you are correct.

Have you thought of replacing the rudder with (God forgive me) marine plywood? With a water proof sealant, you will get many seasons of boating out of it. Personally I replaced my beat up rudder with an old dagger board cut to size using the original rudder as a template.
