    Rudder on hold

My boat is stationed in a large harbour, filled with hundreds of boats. I need to get out of there before I can start sailing. As you can see at the attached image, I have some traveling to do with the paddles before I can start sailing. The whole distance of the red line is about one mile. So...

    Rudder on hold

Hey guys, if I'm going out sailing by myself it would be great if I can fixate the rudder for a few seconds if I want to pull up the sail. Do you guys have an idea how to do this?

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

Hey guys, finally an update of the rebuild of my trailer. Here's where I am. Bunk supports in the back, the nose support in the front and a roller midways underneath the centerline of my Sunfish. As you can see at the close up of the wheel, there's suspension there and the roads are very smooth...

New bailer ball for my Sunfish

That's correct Weston, I have a platic bailer. So, do I still need to take the bailer off the boat if want to replace the ball?

Thank you Coastl Redneck for your thoughts. Could this be a good idea? One or two rollers upon the centre bar to support the centerline of the hull?

New bailer ball for my Sunfish

Thanks! So, I don't have to take off the whole housing? Do I need to open something from the inside the cockpit? Or can I just let the ball drop in?

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

Hi guys thank you for sharing your ideas and information. I share some pictures of my little project. I've removed the big and heavy box and I've now welded two pieces of alluminium with big lack rubbers for supporting the Sunfish. I've relocated the front nose support. What do you all think...

Hello people, today I've finally received the new balls for my Sunfish. But how do I get the bailer ball in the housing? En what's the purpose of the black rubber ring?

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

Ok thanks I didn't know that but sounds very plausible. I don't understand what padded bunks are. Can you share an example of those?

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

I have started to demolish my trailer and I took the big box off. I now want to keep the the boat shaped support at the point and I'm thinking how to support the rest of the boat. I have some kids bike with hard plastic wheels but I'm thinking of buying two air filled wheels with red centre to...

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

Thank you very much Coastal Redneck for your thoughts and ideas. I've placed an add for a swap so hopefully someone will respond because this will save me a lot of work. But if this doesn't work out, I'll construct a cradle myself. I've some carpenter skills as well as welding skills so, I'll...

Maybe this will be my Sunfish

Same here, we can have harsh winters here in The Netherlands, but that doesn't happen often. But in this case, when it freezes, no harm can be done.

Here's a great simple idea when you storage the Sunfish for the winter; a cap of a rattle spray can.:)
