    Sailing in oil--America's problem

Re: More on Sailing and BP... Man, then being part owner of that Farr 52 seems like a bad investment when instead he could be part of a great entrepreneurial opportunity here in the US if he and his friends decide to invest on all those independently owned fishing boats for sale in the gulf...

    Sailing in oil--America's problem

Re: More on Sailing and BP... I have nothing against anyone spending time with their family, especially during difficult times. However, it is (I believe) a poor showing of judgment to go out in public to a race where you multi-million dollar yacht is competing. As ordinary and harmless a...

    iPad Anyone?

I hear ya'! I am in the education field and most of the programs used here are not Linux friendly, however... If Office is the case I could recommend giving "Open Office" a try. You can download it to any OS and it is almost identical to Office (word, excel, power point, money...). Again, is...

    Boy Scout Sailing Merit Badge

The coaming works especially in rougher weather or when there are waves, and if you are really sailing it to the limits. If sailing is to take place in calm, protected waters, then you could really do without it, IMHO. Now cosmetically speaking it will not look great but you know what they say...

Little Help Please for a Novice

Look or ask the seller to give you the hull number, which is located on the transom, or the back of the boat. Bring the number back to the forum and some people might be able to help you find the make and year (I believe is the last two digits). I know you can also find it on the web somewhere...
