    Expired New Doyle carbon Genoa

Just to be clear, this is a legitimate offering for a real sail by a real person. Please refer back to the archives and find I have made many transactions through this site, mostly parting out a yellow boat starting back in November 2018. (I still have the Barient 10 Cabin Top winches if anyone...

Brand new sail, never been hoisted. Located in Bucks Co PA (north of Philadelphia), but I have contacts in New England. Includes bag. I also have some other "rags" to get rid of, like a practice spinnaker with some taped patches, and a cruising main and jib that have some logo on them I don't...

Turnbuckle End ? Where to buy ?

What is this called, and where can I buy one? It's the lower end of the shroud turnbuckle, 5/16 LEFT HAND thread. Let me know if you have one to sell. Thanks,

    Bottom Paint

One Qt. of VC-17 just barely covers the hull. I needed to open the second can to do the rudder and the cradle patches. OBTW: this is tricky stuff. The second coat will dissolve the first coat, so you cannot build it up thick in critical areas (leading edges). I will comment back when I pull...

I will plan to get this out tomorrow. Did you get my "conversation" ?

    Backstay lower needed

It's not worth much to me, maybe $20. My cost will be in the logistics of packing it up and shipping. It can go out tomorrow UPS. Do you want an estimate, or can we just do $40 including shipping? Tell me your thoughts. I live in PA (18940) but my brother's boat is in Boston. We "deliver" it...

Please see the attached images. This is from an older boat (1978?) that I parted out. I never had the second turnbuckle. Notice where I made the measurements. 87" to the end of the fixed turnbuckle. I do have the shackle that holds the two pulleys together. Parker's Boat Yard is excellent.

Stepping the Mast... What's Your Preferred Method?

Take pictures (or video) of the ramp launch also. Others might enjoy learning from that experience too. ( I will ! ) ;)

Gin Pole for Mast Stepping? Anyone have instructions / images to share?

I know about the "recovery loop" from using a conventional crane. Fortunately I did not learn this the hard way !! I guess you could boat hook it or something.

Gin Pole for Mast Stepping? Anyone have instructions / images to share?

The winch was more for smooth lowering into the keel step. I suppose a ratchet block performs this task as well. Do you "hook" under the spreaders, or rig a line to keep it below them?

Gin Pole for Mast Stepping? Anyone have instructions / images to share?

Thanks Vince! Only way to improve on that would be to add some photos of it in action. ( I know, that's the first thing you're thinking when you have your rig hanging in the air ;-) ) I may do the same but add a winch to the side of the mast, and a cam cleat.

Gin Pole for Mast Stepping? Anyone have instructions / images to share?

I plan to trailer launch my boat and I will need to get the mast up and down with only human power. I would like to see other ideas / designs for Gin Poles to do this. I have found very little online. I assume this is a common practice, and it's always better to learn from someone else's...
