Alan, where is this said tool? I have not seen it on any of the FB marketplace adds. :) One of the very experienced Sunfish sailors, Ron McHenry, has a modified paper hole punch that he uses. I tried it and it worked fairly well. Maybe I need to ask him to duplicate his and buy it from him.

I think this is a common challenge, even more in waves. I have experienced this. Recently we were discussing this with an experienced Sunfish sailor and she said, "Tack like you mean it!" I think of that when tacking in higher winds and push the tiller over hard until the sail fills again...
