    Sealing the Coaming

Thanks for the link! I'll definitely use those if I find a leak. I mean, there's definitely a leak there, but you know.

    Sealing the Coaming

And you just seal the seam with epoxy? That's easy! What kind of syringe do you use?

    Sealing the Coaming

Ordering the new bailer tonight and I'll report back once it comes in and I can take the old one off. Guessing there should be no open gaps or holes in there?

    Screw threads? Aren’t they rivets?

    Sealing the Coaming

Did a leak test today and realized I have some leaks on a couple of the rivets on the coaming and the autobailer. I know I have to replace my autobailer, but as far as the coaming goes, is there a recommended way to sealing it that doesn't involve taking the coaming off? Should I even worry...

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

I went sailing today and the ratchet block worked great! Much better than just hooking it and at no point did it feel unsafe. Thanks for the recommendation!

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

So I rigged the boat to try it out and I’m a wee bit concerned about the grip it has when the sheet goes back out. I’m guessing it’s different when the wind does it vs me just pushing on the spar, just hoping it doesn’t catch and cause a capsize. I’m sure it’s functionality will all become...

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

I don't really plan on using the auto mode, so as long as I don't use that, I shouldn't have to worry about it being tough on the sheet, right? Debating whether I should install it or try to exchange it for the one I ordered. I'm guessing I should probably just install it and call it a day.

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

Probably a non-issue but just want to make sure. I ordered the Harken 2135 but they sent me this instead. Guessing it’ll work just fine as well?

Second Sail Tomorrow - Could Use Some Advice!

The video was just a follow up to my original post, but I will keep that in mind if I decide to make any further videos. Thanks.

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

Thanks for all the info! Ordered all the parts this morning so I think I’m good to go! Just need to see if I can find a stainless backing plate. If not I’ll settle for some washers.

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

Makes sense! Maybe I'll just start with the ratchet block and see how that goes. If I decide later I can add the cleats. Won't the sail blow out and slow/stop the boat?

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

I’ll mostly hold the sheet, it would just be nice to have the option in case I need a free hand for a few moments. It’s a risk, but if I need to grab something (like a bottle of water) I don’t want to have to fumble with it while holding the sheet.

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

Interesting. I wonder what the point is of having clam cleats to the left and the right. Why not just one below?

Replacement for stock swivel cam cleat

Looking to replace this guy so I don’t have to hold the sheet the whole time I’m sailing. Thinking about getting this from intensity sails. Is that a good replacement? Hoping to be able to use the existing holes that the current cam cleat uses. https://www.intensitysails.com/ha240swfawic.html
