Sold many used and refurbished Lasers this year, I did glass work to. The Laser2's are more difficult, I find. Wood panels must be replaced in pieces, and the deck stiffener stringer forward to the bow from the mast underside is a bitch as well. needs the spinnaker deployment tube openings to grind away the old rotted bonded wood, and then the tube must be installed. This is very involved! A dry rot of this deck support and the fore cockpit bulkhead is common among hulls that are closed up season after season. The best hulls are always breathing to keep moisture out through the inspection ports with the hull far off the ground bottom up, in the off season. Sorry for you the former owners had not known this.
