Anyone know what this boat is?

I'm trying to identify this little boat, a kind of small Sailfish knockoff, about 10' loa, 3' beam, mast far forward and a bit of a cockpit molded in the top. See photos. Does anyone recognize this or know of a similar boat? A neighbor wanted to get rid of it so I added it to my pile of boats of course. I'd like to find a new sail, which is a bit over 9' on each side. (Equilateral). Narrow diameter mast (1.5") and spars (1"). Any other more popular boats out there with approximately this size sail? The logo on the sail reads "SK-B". Haven't found anything online remotely close, though I assume there were probably a bunch of inexpensive boats like this made throughout the heydays of the Sailfish and early Sunfishes? Anyway thanks for taking a look and for any ideas on making or finding a new sail!

Thanks!

As lateen sails go, 40 sq. ft. is a small sail.

A new Snark sail is 45 sq. ft. Since Snarks regularly fail in the hull  the entire rig should be available through a "WTB" Craigslist ad. If not today, then by next weekend! :D

Consider trimming the damaged foot, and stitching a new foot (at home). A grommet kit can be installed for less than $15, then the rig can be tested, and you'll have saved the sail's logo. :)

eBay has a Snark for $50. A cheap way to pick up any needed/missing parts:

Thanks! I think I had searched for "Skate" but only found the bigger Australian boat. "Lincoln Skate" pulls up a few pages with info. I'll see if anyone has ever sold a sail on eBay but maybe this is a good opportunity to learn how to use the sewing machine! Could cut down an old worn out Sunfish or Sailfish or Snark sail too. I took off about 4 pounds of previous owner's duct tape sail repairs to find the SK-8 logo. It looks like the rudder I have is original (with a replacement broomhandle tiller) and maybe the daggerboard is also a replacement.

Duct tape sail repairs... damn, that even sounds like a skate rat's boat, LOL.

As a former skate rat, I've used duct tape on a million things in my life, but I can't recall ever using it in lieu of sail repair tape.

Still, it's the kind of thing a skate rat might do... ;)

Duct tape, zip-ties & baling wire... with those three items, a good hand can repair the world, LOL.

I believe I have a sail for your boat. I don’t know how forums work, so Pls email me at [email protected]

You can probably get a DIY sail kit from Sailrite. I found my local Quantum loft could get me new sails for my 1957 Rebel. There are on line sources for class sails, with logo.
