The nightmare has not yet started for me....I just received the mast step fix kit in the mail and the instructions have a lot of grinding fiberglass and mixing resin. Hopefully this will workout....(dreaming of sailing again)

Sounds too complicated for me and the result doesn't sound very appealling either. Although I could pay him $700 and sell the remains, I am leaning towards finding a new used hull...that way I can borrow his boat again!
