What if you were to use it in place of a block at a purchase point in your outhaul, Cunningham, ect.

I was wondering what the part number is of the class legal clamcleats that go on the stern for the travler and behind the mast for an old style Cunningham. Thanks.

My biggest concern for this is that it won't hurt the sail. I'm sure if I left any chemical on there for a while it would hurt it but if I get the stuff off fast enough it won't make a difference right?
