I have a 1990 Catalina 14.2 and recently purchased and replaced the spreaders, brackets and shrouds from CD. The installation diagram from Catalina shows the spreader positioning should be 30" width between the spreaders. Creating this width with these longer replacement spreaders means the mast...
It looks like you have replacement spreader brackets that I am getting ready to install. The install instructions are lacking and I’ve been searching around for photos, etc.good to see this photo.
I have a 1990 and am replacing my spreaders, brackets and shrouds. Has anyone done this? If so, how/where did you drill the new bracket holes. I’m finding I can use one of the original bracket holes, but will go a little higher for the other 3 holes. Any experience input would be appreciated.
Did you get the answer to this? I also just bought a motor mount from CD, but also uncomfortable drilling holes in the transom. It's hard to get anyone interested in doing small repairs/updates.
Here is a shot of the top front of the mast. Does anyone know which connector is used to attach the roller furling? Someone in another forum said it is the tang. If that is the case, what is the what is the eye strap for? Any help would be appreciated.
