Michael have you tried a search of the forum? Try searching for the word "hobie" there are a few good posts on this subject.

The FAQ has some good notes on this subject: http://www.capri14.org/forum/faq.php?faq=capri14#faq_motor I have the Honda 2hp 4 stroke mentioned in the FAQ, and it works great. It's reliable and moves the boat well.

In my opinoin Catalina has is missing the boat on aftermarket support of its product line. I don't get it. They should have a web page with a ton of aftermarket parts for their boats. A web page with T-Shirts and glasses is a waste.
