    74 American 25 cockpit drain

    I just bought this boat. I have never owned a sailboat before and before I put it in the water I'd like to make sure it isn't going to sink to the bottom. The cockpit has a drain hole which drains out under the boat. Does that need to have a plug in it before I put it in the water?
