    Hull Chine Fiberglass repair...

Thank you all! I think I'll probably grind away more around the crack for a bigger repair area to work with, and will leave the foam in place to act as a backing for the repair, after I try to stabilize it or secure the broken portion of it. If I need to install a port I can always do it...

    Hull Chine Fiberglass repair...

A photograph of the "foam strip" I mentioned is attached here. It doesn't feel substantial, and runs longer than the length of the 10" crack. I'll try to see if I can affix the foam into place -- it's presently loose, as it's wholly cracked towards the aft end of the boat -- and if I'm able to...

    Hull Chine Fiberglass repair...

OK - so on the assumption that interior access is best, any opinion on the location of an inspection port and what to do with the broken piece of foam? Or, would it actually make more sense to cut a hole in the bottom of the hull, do the repair from the inside, then glass over the hole in the...

    Hull Chine Fiberglass repair...

Alright, so I have a sunfish with a large crack in the fiberglass right along the chine where the starboard side of the hull meets the bottom of the hull, pretty much right next to the cockpit. Pictures attached. Once I sanded down the crack to clear out the damaged fiberglass, I discovered...

What boat is this sail for?

The logo looks pretty similar to the one in the top right hand corner of that picture, so it would appear to be a "Windsurfer" sail. Now if only I could find out more about them... there doesn't seem to be a whole lot of information on their boards.

What boat is this sail for?

That much I'm already aware of. I was thinking more along the lines of what kind of sailboard is it for -- if only just the name of the manufacturer.

What boat is this sail for?

I know this is sort of a long shot, but I recently acquired the sail pictured below. I have NO IDEA what its for, and the logo doesn't really strike a bell with me either. Any help identifying this would be greatly appreciated! It measures 8' across the foot, and approx. 14' along the luff...

    Winter Covers

Any more comments on the quality of Colie covers? I think thats probably what I'm going to go with.

    Winter Covers

Unfortunately, its time for me to start thinking about winterizing my Sunfish (early, I know, but I'm a student with no more time to go use it). I'm thinking about getting a fitted cover for the boat to make winter storage that much easier -- preferably a trailering type, that has a skirt which...

    Wanted: Racing Daggerboard

Looking to get a used racing daggerboard.. this will probably be a bit harder to find than a racing sail, but its worth a shot. Let me know if you have one/know someone who has one/know someone who knows someone that has one, etc. Im a grad student on a budget looking to race this summer...
