Its a '75. I got it two years ago (my second season of sailing her).

Made my trailer for under $100. Used the old axle and tires. Mast is transported on the cross members and is awesome for setting up and taking down the mast. Bunks are 5/4 decking by 8' long. Launches and retrieves easily.

My sunfish goes on the bottom and sailboards or sailfish go on top. Top bars are removeable.

Before After I cut out the bad cracked section, split the halves, and glassed from both the inside and outsides.

When we picked up our boat last winter, the rudder and center board were pretty poor. So I used them as a template and got some oak from HD.

This is how our "free" sunfish turned out. Its been extremely exciting sailing and a lot of learning.

I'm just starting to put together the '75 sunfish we just picked up. I've got the original bailer out but would like to replace the nut. Does anyone have information on what can be used as a replacement (with p/n if you have it)???
