I am not normally too bothered by the Class politics. But I've been reading this thread for the last week and figure you are probably the person who is closest to the action. We keep hearing that the ILCA does not know what is in the builders contracts with Bruce Kirby In now Global Sailing. If that is true how can the you be sure that Global Sailing won't stop Laser Performance building Laser, if as according to Bruce Kirby, who I figure probably knows, a company without a contract can't build Lasers? I was in manufacturing and we made products under license and the clauses with the designers said we had to destroy the moulds or sell them back to designers, if we broke our contract or if our company went belly up.
