    Minifish halyard attachment site

Thanks, don't think that's it though. Only started having this problem when I bought a new halyard (the boat came with washline line serving that purpose). Have been pretty careful about having it fully hoisted, but I definitely can see how this would cause the problem I'm having.

    Minifish halyard attachment site

This was a big help--I hadn't noticed it, the gooseneck had been sliding around. I have it tightened at 19" now, and had a good sail this afternoon. I'd like to take it back a little further, i think these are sunfish spars. My concern had been putting too much stress on the boat with the...

    Minifish halyard attachment site

Thank you. I have been moving the attachment point around. I'm looking for a low attachment point, and as I go lower I'm having this issue that the mast ends up getting threaded between the sail and the upper boom (and the two adjacent sail clips open up) if i flip over. Is there some trick...

    Minifish halyard attachment site

I bought a Minifish that seems to have not-original mast and booms. The mast is 10' and the spars about 12'6. I've been experimenting with where to attach the halyard on the upper--either its too low for easy clearance on coming about, or in heavy winds the surrounding sails clips open and the...

sunfish booms on a minifish + bailer problem

Also, if I go with a Sunfish sail on this rig, on my MiniFish hull, am I likely to be overpowered? Am comfortable flipping over, it's not that, just wondering if its likely to be too much all the time.

sunfish booms on a minifish + bailer problem

Hi All, Thanks for your input and replies. It is a MiniFish sail, it does have the 2fish logo. Yes, there does seem to be corrosion near the gooseneck, so if I go the cut-down route, I will take Beldar's advice. The mast is slightly more than 10' so yes think we have the diagnosis right...

sunfish booms on a minifish + bailer problem

I just bought a Minifish with two minor problems. The boat was used in salt water for a time and the bailer (depersia, i think) is seized shut. Also, the booms are probably from a sunfish as the minifish sail is about a foot short of the ends on both. Questions--any thing i can do about the...
